Microsoft said the problem happened when YouTube went HTML5.
As long as you keep Windows updated, or update PowerPoint manually, you can now add YouTubes.

No Bb test feedback problem
There's a bug in Blackboard (sp13) that if the course was copied from an old course students don't get feedback even though it's selected.
How to fix it?
uncheck all the show test results options, submit, go in again, and re-check them, submit

Present a PDF in kiosk mode
Presenting a pdf is an application setting, not a file setting. So if you set it up on your computer, that setting won't transfer when you bring this file to another computer.
- Open the pdf file, even in reader, say no to full screen mode if it asks, click edit, preferences
- Go to full screen, take off left click to advance, and check loop and advance every however many seconds you want. OK.
You don't need to save, just exit the app, and relanch and say yes to full screen mode
Why not choose all the answers on multiple answer questions?
In Blackboard you can make multiple answer , or "check all that apply" questions. You can also allow partial credit so if they check some of the correct ones, they'll receive some of the points.
The problem is: what if students choose all the answers?
The unmitigated answer is: they get full credit for the question.
Here's how to fix it:
The problem is: what if students choose all the answers?
The unmitigated answer is: they get full credit for the question.
Here's how to fix it:
- Click on Question settings
- allow the ability to have negative points for answers
- Within a question, allow for negative scores for incorrect answers. If you want you could allow the negative answers to make the whole question to go negative if you also choose "allow Negative Overall Score for the Question". Otherwise, the worse that they can get for a single question would be zero.
Then click Update Partial Credit% - Next notice how many partial credit percent are given to correct answers, and give the same but negative to all wrong answer Partial Credit %'s
- Now if people choose all the answers, they get zero points for that quetsion

What if they switch groups on a group assignment?
Group assignments in Blackboard can be submitted and graded when a group member is in one group, and then that group member can switch groups. The results?
The final results is what ever group they are left in at the end
The final results is what ever group they are left in at the end
But when they go into the detail they see the typed feedback and attached feedback of the FORMER group! The top grade (6 in dark grey) is their final grade. But they also still see the old grade they had from back in their first group (7).
What to do?
I'm sorry to say, that you will need to manually add a quick comment
