How to remove the unsightly course ID numbers from your My Courses list in Blackboard

You may see a string on numbers before the course name in the list of courses you teach:

If so, mouse over My Courses and click the gear button,

Then uncheck the Course ID in that courses' row, and Submit.

Clear cache completely!

Sometimes, you really need to clear the cache completely!

Actually you can reply to Blackboard's do-not-reply

Blackboard had to add a protocol to protect against spoofing (a type of phishing) which unfortunately has "do-not-reply" in it.

But students CAN still reply and it will go to the instructor!

All booking inquiries, equipment pick up, drop off, and consultations can be facilitated through this location during the business hours shown below.  

Clients are asked to submit a media loans request at https://itservicedesk.mtroyal.ca prior to picking up any equipment.

Note: To submit a media request go to https://itservicedesk.mtroyal.ca and log in.   Switch the workspace to ITS - Media Loans and enter a New Media Loan Request.

Fall semester

Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (open until 7:00 p.m. for September)

Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Winter semester

Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (open until 7:00 p.m. for January)

Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

How to post a Google Group reply without the previous post

short answer: make sure it's a web forum and not an email group.

You can't change a group type once you've made it, so make it right (or delete it and make it right the second time.

If you make the group a Web Forum...

Then postings won't have the previous post in the reply:

Otherwise, if you made an email group, like Gmail, it will:

on campus means a campus computer or laptop connected to MRsecure

Some library resources are only for students, and will require them to authenticate.

This will happen when they are home, but when on campus either on a campus computer or a laptop connected through MRsecure.

View pdfs directly in Chrome

To view pdfs directly in Chrome:

Bb bug can't view calendar if end date passed

If you have end dates set for your course, and that date has passed

Then student will not see the course in the list of courses, or any events you made

But after you change it back to continuous, both will show.
